The season opener for the 2024 Legacy Racing Associations Season brought us to Parker Arizona to take on the famous 500 miles of grueling desert.
Michael Scafuto teamed up with BJ Baldwin´s former co-driver, Kyle Craft, to battle it out with some of the best teams in desert racing.
After a good qualifying result the race started great for the team.
Driving on the narrow mountain trails proved to be a challenge and claimed many victims among the racers but Michael and Kyle found and kept a steady pace and kept pushing themselves until coming into main pit after Lap 2 with serious engine problems, or to quote Chris Allen “The engine is dying”.
After filling it to the top with fresh oil and a quick prayer in the pits the headed out for their final lap with more oil waiting for them at every pit, while they drove as smooth as possible to keep the engine alive.
And they made it!!!!
2nd place in Class was the perfect way to start the 2024 race season!
